Ludo from 2004 till 2006

Highlight in 2004 were the Olympic Games in Athens, and a 5th place for Ludo and Parco.
There were also the very good results with his young horses throughout the season, Tauber van het Kapelhof, and Up to Date Miltoo.
The “ Verelst ” sponsorship ended this year, but “ Zangersheide ” stayed a trustful partner. And at last, let us not forget that Ludo joined the Belgian Team in eight Nations Cups, with one victory, two second places, and a third ranking.

2005 was not one of the “ good ” years for Ludo. Especially the bad results at the European Championships in Italy and the disappearing of the Belgian Team out of the Samsung Super League were not very hope giving for the Belgian Show Jumping sport. But nevertheless, Ludo became again Belgian Champion for the 6th time.
Ludo himself called this year a transition period, and lots of modifications would be necessary when transferring from the older horses to the new talents available.
But once again a new crack was ready: Winningmood van de Arenberg ( v. Darco ). Ludo stated that this was the best horse he had ever been on; this statement would be used many times over.
The twin brothers Olivier and Nicola slowly started to demand their place in the stables, and under supervision from Ludo and his brother Johan they made their first steps into the international competition.

In 2006 everybody had low expectations of Parco. Ludo only took him to a few competitions, but this of course had a reason: he wanted Parco to be in top condition for the most difficult competition of the year, the World Championship in Aachen.
And this he accomplished with success. Parco became 9th, and could have done even better.
Also at the start of the new organisation “ Global Champions Tour ”, Parco was in top shape, and without any doubt Ludo became the overall winner.
A few new horses joined the stables: Narcotique de Muze and Vici van het Plutoniahof. And Winningmood becomes Belgian champion among the 7 year olds. Ludo is going to be right.
